Amit Shah in Bihar amid violence

In a direct attack on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah while speaking at a rally in Nawada said that BJP’s doors are shut for him forever.

“If someone has any doubt that BJP will take JDU back into NDA after election results, then I want to make it clear that BJP’s doors are shut for them (JDU) forever,” said Shah.

Shah further said that after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections the government will collapse and BJP will come into power in the state.

Nitish will never become the PM, says Shah

He slammed Nitish, asserting that he will never be able to become the Prime Minister of the country.

“Nitish Kumar won’t become Prime Minister. People of the country have decided that Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of the country for the third time…People of Bihar have decided that Modiji’s Lotus will bloom on all 40 (LS) seats,” said Shah.

Shah on Sasaram violence

Amid the ongoing communal violence in wake of Ram Navami celebrations in Bihar’s Sasaram, Shah said, “…The government which has jungle raj’s Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party, can that govt bring peace in Bihar? Nitish Kumar sat in the lap of Lalu Prasad Yadav due to hunger for power, we will uproot the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ govt.”

Speaking about the tension in Sasaram, Shah alleged that he was suppose to visit the areas but people are being killed there and that we will go there during his next visit.

“I was supposed to go to Sasaram but due to unfortunate situation people are being killed there, bullets are fired and tear-gas shelling is happening. I will come to Sasaram surely during my next visit.”

As many as 32 people were arrested in ongoing raids in connection with the violence during the Ram Navami celebrations and after, police informed on Sunday.

Rohtas SP Vineet Kumar said security personnel have been deployed and flag march conducted in sensitive areas.

“32 people have been arrested so far, as raids continue across the city. Strict action will be taken against rioters. Security personnel have been deployed in adequate numbers and flag march is being conducted in sensitive areas,” said Kumar.

Rohtas DM claims situation is peaceful

Claiming that the situation in Sasaram was peaceful, Rohtas District Magistrate Dharmendra Kumar urged the general public not to believe in rumours.

“The situation is peaceful in Sasaram. Yesterday, we got information that a few people from one community threw explosives at a religious site of another community. Six people were injured, but the injuries were not serious. After surveying the scene, it is clear that the blast occurred due to the mishandling of explosives. As many as 1100-1200 security personnel have been deployed in the city. The public should not believe in rumours,” the DM said.

Meanwhile, reacting to some media reports that people were leaving their homes in Sasaram fearing communal violence, Rohtas Police said it was a baseless rumour. He urged the citizens not to pay heed to any rumours.

“This is a totally baseless and absurd rumour. No one has left his/her locality. We appeal to the general public not to pay heed to any such rumour. The situation is peaceful and normal in Sasaram,” the Rohtas police said.

A security team, comprising Special Task Force (STF) and paramilitary personnel conducted a flag march at Sasaram on Saturday.
